Construction & Civil Engineering sits down with Thomas Bell, Director, to learn more about the company’s journey and discover the driving force behind its continued growth and success. He begins by providing some background into TriAgg’s history.

“TriAgg was founded in October 2020 by four partners: Andy Maidment, Dave Foster, Dave Dawe, and myself,” Thomas opens. “We all worked together previously at a large PLC but found that there was a need for a personable, professional turnkey civils and surfacing contractor in the South of England. We grew very quickly within the first few months, working for a variety of Tier 1 main contractors, along with blue chip private companies.

“As demand for our services grew, we strengthened the team with skilled and experienced individuals, laying the foundations for a directly employed workforce and our own fleet of plant, machinery, trucks, and vans. Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, we were fortunate to secure several notable, multi-million-pound contracts. By 2023, the business was turning over £12 million, which doubled to £24 million in 2024. Today, TriAgg has surpassed £30 million in annual turnover and employs more than 100 people.

“Despite this growth, we have remained true to our core values, delivering everything from smaller works such as bollard installations and pothole repairs through to large, multi-million-pound civil engineering and surfacing projects — and everything in between.”

Prioritising people and plant

From pre and post-construction services to complex civil engineering projects, TriAgg is proud to offer a turnkey package. The company’s tagline – ‘Trusted to deliver’ – is representative of its commitment to providing exceptional quality and sustainably engineered solutions. Its multidisciplinary expertise spans a vast scope of services, including planning and preparation, drainage, kerbing, paving, and surfacing. To consistently offer the best sustainable, high quality, and efficient solutions, TriAgg consistently reinvests in people, plant, equipment and new technology to maintain its competitive edge.

“Since our inception, we’ve always placed importance on people, plant, machinery and technology. We consistently reinvest in top-of-the-line equipment from trusted, well-known brands,” Thomas affirms. “Staying ahead with the latest plant and machinery is always a challenge, but it keeps downtime to a minimum and allows us to consistently deliver on our commitments to clients.”

This emphasis on reinvestment and continuous improvement goes beyond project delivery at TriAgg. The company also invests heavily in training and people development processes and, by doing so, is able to guarantee a superior service and quality of delivery that exceeds client expectations whilst overcoming the current skills gap within the industry.

“We tend to find that the people we need aren’t just sitting on shelves waiting to be employed and, unfortunately, there is a shortage of skilled people,” Thomas explains. “However, we’ve implemented a management training scheme and currently have several new management trainees in the business. We train new people internally, in line with our culture, this helps them grow within the business, and it’s been great to see a number of those trainees progress through their journey and move into promoted management roles as they develop.”

Reinvesting for the future

Though just six years old in 2026, TriAgg has grown exponentially and transformed into a key player within the UK construction industry. Its rapid and sustained success is testament to the team’s expertise, reliability, and integrity, proving that with a robust culture, wealth of technical capabilities, and a skilled team that is passionate about the customer experience, industry standards can be redefined.

“Our sustainable business growth over the past five years has been built on strong leadership, financial discipline, operational efficiency, innovation, skilled people, and, above all, customer trust,” Thomas reveals, reflecting on the qualities that have attributed to TriAgg’s longevity and continued success. “The great support that we’ve had from our suppliers over the years has been key in enabling us to consistently deliver a high-quality service and gain repeat clients. We want to maintain the growth for the future as we continue to reinvest in the business and expand our talented team. We have a very skilled, motivated workforce and a strong company culture that shares values to drive performance, along with a core health and safety focus.

At the heart of TriAgg is a simple principle, integrity in everything we do,” Thomas concludes. “Our growth and success are built on the dedication of our people, the trust of our clients, and the quality of every project we deliver. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved in just over five years, but our focus remains on the future – continuing to innovate, invest in our team, and uphold the standards that have made us a company our clients can rely on. Simply put, we are trusted to deliver.”
