Creagh Concrete combines precast innovation, offsite construction and materials expertise to deliver certainty at scale
Creagh Concrete (Creagh) is a family-owned concrete and precast specialist headquartered in Toomebridge, Co. Antrim. Established in 1974, the company has grown from a local concrete block manufacturer into a major UK and Ireland supplier of precast solutions, offsite construction systems, and construction materials, operating across Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England.
The company delivers a comprehensive range of manufactured concrete products and construction solutions, combining traditional concrete supply with advanced offsite and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). Operating as both a manufacturer and solutions provider, Creagh supports projects from early design stages through to manufacture and, where required, installation.

The Rapidres® crosswall system is Creagh’s offsite fast track build system, designed to accelerate residential and multi-unit developments using factory-manufactured structural wall panels. It accelerates build programmes through rapid installation of structural walls, enables earlier weather-tightness, and reduces dependency on follow-on trades. Panels can incorporate cast-in services and, where required, pre-installed windows and doors, improving coordination, safety, and waste reduction on site.
For example, Creagh supplied and installed its Rapidres® offsite precast concrete system as the primary structural frame for the Guildford Crescent residential development in central Cardiff; a 30-storey build-to-rent tower delivering 272 private homes and ground-floor amenity space. The project is valued at approximately £52 million and was delivered by Galliford Try with Creagh’s Rapidres® installation progressing rapidly on site; framing topped out in around 36 weeks as the tower rose to full height.
Creagh also delivers insulated precast flooring systems, including Spantherm®, which offers a high-performance alternative to traditional ground floor construction while enhancing build speed, quality, and thermal efficiency.
Spantherm® and Rapidres® are designed to enhance construction efficiency by transferring labour-intensive activities from site into a controlled factory environment, reducing programme time, labour dependency, and delivery risk. Spantherm® is a factory-produced insulated precast ground floor system that replaces traditional block-and-beam or in-situ concrete floors. It offers rapid installation, consistent quality through factory control, and integrated thermal performance that supports modern energy efficiency standards. By simplifying the ground floor stage, Spantherm allows projects to progress more quickly into superstructure construction.
Together, Spantherm® and Rapidres® provide a more predictable, repeatable, and efficient construction process, helping clients manage programme certainty, quality control, and labour availability.
In addition, Creagh manufactures a wide range of structural precast elements, such as walls, stairs, landings, beams, and bespoke components, all produced to meet specific project requirements. Its offering is further supported by a comprehensive concrete supply and materials division, providing ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks, aggregates, sand, and specialist agricultural precast products. Complementing these core activities, the company also supplies ancillary and consumer ranges, including concrete products for home and garden use.
Bespoke product development and support
Beyond manufacturing, Creagh places strong emphasis on technical and engineering support, offering early-stage design input, bespoke product development, and on-site technical assistance to support efficient installation and programme delivery.
The acquisition of the Norman Emerson Group in 2024 strengthened Creagh’s operational capabilities by expanding its aggregates, sand extraction, and ready-mix concrete operations. This acquisition enhances supply chain security, broadens market reach across Ireland, and reinforces Creagh’s vertically integrated construction solutions model. The company manufactures premium quality pre-mix concrete and screed at five production facilities based at Toomebridge, Dunloy, Draperstown, Ardmore and Tandragee. This expansion means Creagh now services the whole of Northern Ireland with premix, greatly expanding its operational capabilities and market presence.

In 2025, Creagh achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification by implementing robust cybersecurity controls and successfully completing independent technical audits. This government-backed certification strengthens client confidence, demonstrates compliance with recognised security standards, and supports eligibility for security-sensitive public and private sector contracts. Held by fewer than one per cent of UK companies, Cyber Essentials Plus reflects Creagh’s strong commitment to protecting sensitive information and meeting rigorous industry benchmarks. Achieving this standard also creates new opportunities, enabling the team to bid for contracts where Cyber Essentials compliance is a mandatory requirement.
Moving onto facilities, Creagh’s £3 million investment in a new 4000-square-metre factory in Toome has significantly increased production capacity, enabling the manufacture of up to 75,000 square metres of precast walling annually. The facility is supported by a recent steel yard expansion, batching plant, increased storage areas, and an upgraded electricity supply, all of which allow for higher output and smoother production flows. These improvements reduce bottlenecks, support a right-first-time manufacturing culture, and enable greater automation and quality control within the production process.
This investment will allow Creagh to increase volumes across core product lines while improving consistency, reducing waste, and shortening lead times. Overall, the Toome factory strengthens Creagh’s ability to meet growing market demand, deliver projects more efficiently, and support the company’s wider growth and profitability targets under its Operational Excellence strategy.
Sustainability strategy
At Creagh, corporate values are embedded in day-to-day operations and guide how the business engages with customers, employees, and partners. A strong customer focus underpins all activities, with the company striving to deliver total customer satisfaction. This approach is supported by a culture of respect, where integrity, honesty, and consideration for others shape internal collaboration and long-term relationships with clients and the supply chain.
Creagh’s operations are further defined by expertise and accountability, applying years of industry experience to provide insightful, practical technical guidance while holding itself accountable for delivering high-quality outcomes consistently. This expertise enables the business to develop genuine, innovative solutions that are durable, cost-effective, and aligned with real project needs rather than theoretical innovation. Complementing this is a helpful, service-led approach, with professional technical support provided before, during, and after construction, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and clients continue to receive value well beyond completion.
Long-term client relationships are maintained through early technical engagement, bespoke project solutions, consistent service standards, on-site support, and strong partnerships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring repeat business and trusted collaboration.
Creagh’s Net Zero Roadmap targets a 30 per cent absolute reduction in carbon emissions by 2029 from a 2019 baseline, forming part of its pathway to Net Zero by 2050. Initiatives include transitioning to 100 per cent green electricity, investing in energy-efficient equipment, reducing material intensity, and supporting lower-carbon transport infrastructure.
As we move into 2026, Creagh’s priorities are focused on delivering the next phase of its Vision 2025-to-2030 strategy, with particular emphasis on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strengthening customer relationships. A key priority is continuing to grow revenue and profitability in line with the medium-term target of reaching £250 million turnover.
In parallel, Creagh will continue to invest in its people, develop future leaders, maintain high safety standards, and strengthen long-term partnerships with customers through reliability, technical expertise, and consistent delivery.
Beyond financial performance, Creagh also aims to deepen long-term partnerships with Tier 1, 2, and 3 contractors and developers, reinforce its reputation for quality, innovation, and delivery certainty, and fully embed sustainability and compliance into everyday operations, ensuring a robust and responsible business for future generations.
