Commercial property developer Bruntwood has unveiled design plans for ‘City House’ – Leeds’ biggest collaborative workspace, to date. City House is Bruntwood’s vision for the future of office workspace, incorporating the physical, social, and digital needs of businesses, from large-scale to start-ups, across a shared building. The innovative design will provide diverse co-working areas, meeting and event spaces, a business lounge and a roof garden, with a panoramic view of the city centre. The scheme enables Bruntwood customers – across a myriad of sectors and industries – to collaborate and grow, from an easily accessible city centre location.
Work has already started on the former British Railways offices, which sits prominently above Leeds train station. The 120,000 sq. ft., 12-storey building is due to be completed by May 2017.
Craig Burrow, director at Bruntwood in Leeds, said: “City House has been designed with contemporary and progressive business, in mind. City House embraces the ever-changing nature of business connectivity, and the bespoke choice of workspace creates a vibrant and sustainable workplace for the Bruntwood community.”
