Vistry Group has been granted planning consent for a £78m development of 350 homes in Beaconside, Stafford. The 95-acre site has been acquired in partnership with Barratt Homes on a 50:50 basis and has a combined GDV of £156m. As part of the scheme, the housebuilders will provide for upgraded highways infrastructure to support the delivery of a Local Centre and Care Home, while a further 1.05 hectares of serviced land will be made available for a primary school and allotments. The builders will make a combined £10m contribution to the community, going towards local primary and secondary schools, a Special Area of Conservation, and sports and leisure facilities.
