Tall buildings challenge

The hundreds of tall building developments planned for London will present significant challenges for M&E specialists when it comes to maintaining water pressure and supply, suggested the debate at a special event organised by Dutypoint, a leading manufacturer of water pressure and conditioning systems.

“It was an interesting topic as the proliferation of tall buildings in London has been the cause of much debate, both positive and negative, over the last couple of years,” says Robert Freeman, Director at Dutypoint. “It’s clearly a trend that’s set to stay given limited land supply and housing targets that need to be met.”

The event was organised to mark the opening of Dutypoint’s new London offices, and featured key speakers from property consultants GL Hearn, who also co-author the annual London Tall Buildings Survey, and engineering consultants Mech2O.
