Triangle Fire Systems leverages firefighter heritage, technical expertise and environmental responsibility to safeguard communities
As rigorously trained professionals in fire control and safety education, firefighters are highly valued and vital in protecting the public and saving lives. So, when Triangle Fire Systems (Triangle) was set up by a firefighter and his two brothers in 2006, it was founded on a combination of family values and a dedication to creating a safer tomorrow for future generations. The Chantler brothers’ commitment to fire safety developed into the UK’s leading fire protection specialists, with the business’ core delivery comprising fire sprinklers and a purpose of ‘keeping tomorrow safe’ – by sustainably shaping communities to be safeguarded against the threats of fire, inspiring brighter futures by protecting today.’

25 years on, Triangle operates ten offices across the UK and engages in a range of projects across the country. Headquartered in Hastings, it has further locations in Essex, Birmingham, Nottinghamshire and Wales, offering certified experts and cutting-edge developments. “I believe we have the UK’s biggest consultancy design business in sprinkler fire protection,” says CEO, Marcus Wallis, who joined the company last year. “In addition to residential and commercial sprinkler installation, we also deliver retro and legacy works as a national business, with two passive fire businesses in the group, an electrical engineering offering, fire alarms, a servicing division and our pump business, Triple P, based in Wales.” This network of satellite offices enables Triangle to balance national reach with localised expertise. “The key is our incredible workforce,” elaborates Marcus. “We hold fortnightly sales and forecasting reviews and ensure that we keep in touch and understand our clients’ needs.”
With an expanding portfolio of businesses, Triangle ensures integration and consistency across services by involving its design consultancy early on. “They are excellent and absolutely key to our business,” emphasises Marcus. “The projects are scrutinised to ensure that they meet with the strict British standards and are developed in co-ordination with our clients to ensure seamless integration when delivered on site. Handover meetings are delivered with our site team to ensure they are fully aware of the project specifications, the prefabricated pipework is finalised, measured and sent to the supplier for production, and any specialist electrical or mechanical panel works are undertaken by our team of specialist engineers.”
Doubling in size over the past three years, Triangle has grown based on clients’ needs and has made multiple strategic acquisitions, which Marcus elaborates on: “We’ve made acquisitions with Intrinsic, a passive fire stopping business, pump manufacturer Triple P Pumps, an East Anglian sprinkler company called BMSprinklers and Trilex, which is an additional servicing business. All these businesses provide the platform for growth and a full project life cycle delivery for our clients.”

Current projects include the construction of a facility in Wales to house the firm’s new range of high efficiency pumps and prefabricated units, scheduled to enter the market this summer. Triangle’s portfolio also incorporates large, complex developments such as Battersea Power Station and Hammersmith Hospital – projects that can often present unique fire safety challenges. “Getting involved in the design of the project early is a priority for us and benefits both the client and our ability to deliver a superior product,” Marcus reveals. “The price and programme are still key factors in the ability to win and perform in the industry, but our clients are now seeing the benefits of shared early engagement. Our offering as a group is very healthy – we design, prefabricate, engineer, install, commission and maintain and service our works.”
In everything it does, Triangle is dedicated to corporate social responsibility. First, the company is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and maintains the highest standards of qualification, with accreditations by main governing bodies RSA, IFC, BAFSA, LPCB, BAFE and FIRAS. Along with a strong adherence to governance, environmental responsibility is paramount to the family business, as it aims to protect the future for all generations. It signed up to Net Zero by 2050 – an objective it aims to meet with an aligned Carbon Reduction Plan that includes various organisational and employee initiatives, such as a ‘Green Car’ salary sacrifice scheme and a cycle-to-work scheme. Triangle’s suppliers and subcontractors are held to the same high standards regarding environmental sustainability, and the company carefully inspects policies and procedures to ensure they are contributing positively to net-zero carbon targets wherever possible. Interacting with people is also a core part of the company, whether it’s with employees, clients, residents or the wider community. It proudly supports communities through employee volunteering, work experience opportunities and local charity support, including a long-term partnership with the National Literacy Trust.
“We restructured through 2025 to ensure there is a real focus on each project, with the project management team fully engaged with the client’s team. We believe relationships with our clients are key, and the way we navigate through difficult and challenging projects together really represents our culture,” says Marcus, highlighting the importance of Triangle’s relationships with people – a fundamental element of approaching risk management and client trust in high stakes environments, such as residential tower blocks and public sector projects.
After recently carrying out internal restructuring, Triangle has won several large projects in the commercial sector which it is focusing on for the remainder of 2026. “We are looking forward to delivering these jobs with our new model and that is something we’re prioritising this year,” Marcus concludes. “We believe we are already best-in-class in the residential market, and we are now bringing that same level of quality and delivery to the commercial sector. Our goal is to set the benchmark and become market leaders there too.”
