The UK CONCRETE Show 2020

The only UK event dedicated exclusively to the concrete industry, The UK CONCRETE Show 2020 (UKCS2020) is set to return to the NEC – with some exciting new features

Celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2020, The UK CONCRETE Show has grown over the years to become Europe’s largest specialist concrete event, attended by specialists from all over the world. Visitors in 2020 will see both Live in-hall and Outside Demos, as well as experiencing first-hand, everything that’s new in concrete from all of the biggest names in the industry.

With over 200 exhibitors expected and over 300 product groups, visitors to UKCS2020 will be able to research and discover everything from cement to pumps, precast manufacturing products, admixtures, reinforcement, testing and repair. In addition, alongside the comprehensive exhibition, there is also a combination of industry specific seminars and workshop sessions. “The 10th Show is planned to be a celebration for the whole of the UK concrete industry,” says Show Director Steven Callaghan. “The 2020 show will be some 20 per cent larger in surface area compared with 2019 and is planned to be a more dynamic event, with a greater emphasis on live demonstrations. Visitors will see a greater range of equipment functioning, something they tell us they want to see, so UKCS2020 will be more of a hands-on interactive experience compared with previous shows,” he added.

In fact, the organisers state that no other exhibition comes close to The UK CONCRETE Show – it’s full of everything to do with concrete and unlike general, broader-based construction shows, everyone in the hall has just one thing in common – concrete.

Thanks to this specialist focus on one area, over the last nine years, the show has become a magnet for buyers and specifiers. They come to the show to buy ahead of the coming construction ‘season’ as well as maintain and expand supply chains during the off-season, at one convenient, comfortably air-conditioned and easy to travel to the location, the NEC Birmingham.

YOUR industry show
Taking place in Hall 17, the show has found the perfect fit for the format of the show, as the car parks are only a short walk away and for 2020, there is an outdoor live demo area & vehicle display area, perfect for companies to demonstrate their products.

Thanks to customer feedback from previous events, the Show is now a month or so later on the calendar from its traditional February slot. Visitors have indicated this move was a fantastic idea and that the Show is now perfectly timed for the UK buyer, as there is no clash with half term holidays.

Furthermore, for the special tenth anniversary show, the organisers have taken the decision to redesign the show layout, and introduce a range of new features which will be rolled out up until when the doors open in March – the show is already two-thirds sold out, so get in quickly if you want to organise a stand!

Promising more visitors and both new and returning exhibitors, if you have anything to do with concrete, you can’t afford to miss The UK CONCRETE Show 2020. Exhibitors are signing up fast – companies that have already booked stands include: Adomast, Putzmeister, Liebherr, HTC, McPhee Mixers, Conspare, Danfords, Skako, Blastrac, Scanmaskin, Siltbuster, PUK, KVM, Fastform, APD Mixer Repairs, EKC Systems, LKAB Minerals, Jonesco, Besser, Elkem and many, many more.

“It’s the sheer variety and choice that stands out at UKCS,” says Steven Callaghan, “that only a big, standalone industry leading show can offer visitors,” he concludes.

Since it first began in 2011, The UK CONCRETE Show has grown to become Europe’s largest specialist concrete event and is attended by specialists from all over the world. The 2020 show is gearing up to be a spectacular showcase for design, manufacture, specifying, site installation, testing, maintaining and repairing, and what makes it really different is that it is so specifically targeted at the concrete sector – it is YOUR industry show where the visitors are genuinely interested in seeing what’s new and they want to buy!
